Quadcopter DIY Project

Quadcopters and Multirotors always fascinated us at KakiDIY. From our first off the shelf China made Quadcopter (WLToys V303) to the more advanced DJI Phantom 2 complete with FPV and Gimbal, we were trying to get more from the quadcopter and so we started to build our own.

Our very first Quad that we built from scratch was just a small X250 frame quad. Bought the kit from BangGood.com – http://www.banggood.com/X240-Mini-Quadcopter-With-CC3D-Flight-Controller-p-954482.html

Here are the parts that were included in this kit.

It was a decent kit and I had fun building it. Here are the timelapse video of me setting up the frame itself.

and after that, here’s the timelapse of setting the entire quad up and test flight.

We are certainly building more quads and hex.

(Updated May 2015 : We completed building autonomous 450 size Quadcopter and a 550 sized Hexacopter. Mostly for RnD on autonomous flights and missions)
