Which maybe labour intensive to get them cleaned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The replacement filter may be blocked over time causing air-con to be blowing less air or at times even warmer than normal.\u00a0Replacement filters are usually not hard to find and they may be costly depending on the popularity of your car.<\/p>\n<p>However, where are ways to clean them for FREE. Let&#8217;s get started &gt;&gt;<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Tools required :<br \/>\n&#8211; Vacuum Cleaner<br \/>\n&#8211; Flathead screwdriver<\/p>\n<p>Time needed :<br \/>\n&#8211; 5 to 10mins<\/p>\n<p>STEPS:\u00a0To access the air con filter, you need to take off the glove box. The demo car here is the Mitsubishi Lancer (4B11 which is the same for Inspira, Lancer, ASX and EvoX)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter01.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Open the glove box&#8230;\u00a0First, detach the little hook on the left of the box<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-3\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter2.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then detach the one on the right.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-5\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter3.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>then, remove the little pneumatic piston that dampens the glove box opening and closing..<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-7\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter4.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After which, you can just open the glove box all the way down and remove the whole box totally.<\/p>\n<p>You can see the Fuse Box on the left and the AirCon mumbo-jumbo on the right.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-9\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter5.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Use a flathead screwdriver to detach the AC Filter Cover.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" id=\"--ipb-img-resizer-11\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/forum.lancerzone.com\/gallery\/albums\/userpics\/10800\/CleanACFilter6.jpg\" width=\"512\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There, the cover just come off with ease.
