Well, skinning is a great option and what better way than to do it yourself? Here is how to do it and make it look professional.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Things needed:<br \/>\n1. Sharp scissors<br \/>\n2. Vinyl sticker<br \/>\n3. Sharp blade<br \/>\n4. Post it note<br \/>\n5. Lighter<br \/>\n6. Pencil<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/scontent-b-kul.xx.fbcdn.net\/hphotos-prn1\/t1.0-9\/1622763_10152404461679054_2516106878492223137_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"612\" height=\"816\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 1:<br \/>\n&#8211; Stick a post it note to the top of your device where the camera is.<br \/>\n&#8211; Draw a cross on it and mark the side of your tab where the cross is (this is used to align the post it note later on when cutting the camera hole)<br \/>\n&#8211; Trace out the camera and flash hole as accurately as you can.<br \/>\n&#8211; Cut the holes in any design you wish (I made an egg shape)<br \/>\n&#8211; Put this aside<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-frc3\/t1.0-9\/10273698_10152404461684054_4161614923241066319_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 2:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Cut the vinyl slightly larger than the device, this will make it easier to put on.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn1\/v\/t1.0-9\/10373700_10152404461769054_7787170300073945887_n.jpg?oh=8905265842e0416c81d4157527f3c56e&amp;oe=53EB0A62&amp;__gda__=1409588613_dc0f4c9d02b40c35e110a2e6945e1e89\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 3:<br \/>\n&#8211; Before applying vinyl, test fit the sticker once again<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-frc3\/t1.0-9\/10325632_10152404461764054_8552525158312885352_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 4:<br \/>\n&#8211; As you apply, rub the sticker one inch at a time to ensure no bubbles appear.<br \/>\n&#8211; If there are bubbles, pull up that inch and try again.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn2\/t1.0-9\/10352880_10152404461789054_8660996165813638747_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 5:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Once the entire vinyl is on, rub it down properly to ensure proper adhesion to the device.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn1\/t1.0-9\/10348546_10152404461609054_1089413796831235092_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 6:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Using a pair of sharp scissors, cut the access stickers off by sliding the scissors across the side. Avoid stopping as it will leave a notch, slowly cut the rounded edges off to fit.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-frc3\/t1.0-9\/10353573_10152404461554054_5307209547226426814_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 7:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Take your camera template and align the lines of the cross you made to the sides of the tab that is marked<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Using a pencil, trace out the hole you made<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn2\/t1.0-9\/10264489_10152404461569054_5550135159314935887_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"816\" height=\"612\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 9:<br \/>\n&#8211; Remove the template and cut the hole as accurately as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn2\/t1.0-9\/10401925_10152416726109054_8395129061776586822_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"612\" height=\"816\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 10:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Run a lighter through every half inch of the sides of the device slowly.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Once you have reached half an inch, stop and give that soft area a hard press (please dab the area with your fingers and dont rub it as it will wrinkle.)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Keep repeating it until you have covered the entire radius of the device<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Run the flame on the entire back of the device too to ensure proper adhesion to the device.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; use the blue part of the flame and not the yellow as it is harder to control the rate of softening.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; dont use a jet lighter<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; if the vinyl does not soften up, you are moving too quickly.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; if the vinyl melts\/ your device starts catching fire, your moving too slow.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net\/hphotos-ak-prn2\/t1.0-9\/10262096_10152404461559054_4237505186823172599_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"612\" height=\"816\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Step 11:<br \/>\n&#8211; Take a picture and tag your friends showing the professional job you just did<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bored of the way your mobile device looks?
